KLB Trinity Trash Bash and Electronics Recycling event
Keep Lewisville Beautiful, the City of Lewisville, LLELA, and Kayak Power are teaming up to host KLB?s 23rd annual Trinity Trash Bash waterway clean up on November 15th from 8:00 a.m. ? 11:00 a.m. at the Lake Park catfish picnic area. Many volunteer opportunities are available, including shoreline clean ups, creek clean ups, and a guided kayak cleanup of the Trinity River. A community educational expo, FREE electronics recycling collection event, and Texas Arbor Day celebration will also be held onsite. For a list of items being accepted for our recycling drive, please visit www.keeplewisvillebeautiful.org. KLB is currently looking for both volunteers and sponsors for this event. All individuals and groups are welcome to join in the effort to help make a difference in our community. All ages are welcome! Groups will be assigned locations and supplies to clean on the day of the event. All tools will be provided by KLB. Shirts, door prizes, and goodie bags will be given away to volunteers after the cleanup on a first come first serve basis. Please wear long sleeves, pants, and sturdy tennis or hiking shoes. In addition to the cleanup, a waterway educational expo has been added to the event with information about water safety and waterway education from various community organizations and businesses, including the City of Lewisville environmental programs office, Army Corp of Engineers, Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area (LLELA), Waste Management, Lewisville Independent School District Outdoor Learning Area (LISDOLA), The Lewisville Lion?s Club, Upper Trinity Regional Water District, LCPAAA,The Salvation Army, and more.
