2026 - 2027 Leadership Lewisville Application
The Leadership Lewisville program, a 40-year-old signature leadership development initiative of the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce, is designed to educate, inspire, and provide opportunities for participants to develop and strengthen their leadership skills. This nine-month immersive program connects participants with influential community leaders, meaningful discussions, and firsthand experiences that deepen their understanding of the Lewisville area and the role of leadership in shaping a thriving community.
Participation in Leadership Lewisville requires a strong commitment to attendance, engagement, and active participation throughout the program. Most sessions are held on the first Thursday of each month from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., although select session dates and times may vary due to scheduling needs.
In addition to the monthly sessions, participants will also attend an overnight trip to Austin during the spring to explore state government and legislative processes.
Please note that listed program topics are subject to change.
Attendance & Participation Requirements
Because Leadership Lewisville is designed as a highly interactive and immersive experience, attendance and participation are essential to the success of both the individual participant and the class as a whole. Participants are expected to attend all scheduled sessions in their entirety, including mandatory events and the trip to Austin.
Participants may miss no more than twelve (12) total program hours. Missing any portion of a mandatory session – and excessive tardiness, early departures, absences, or lack of participation – may affect graduation eligibility. Participants who do not meet attendance or participation requirements may not graduate or may receive a Certificate of Participation in place of graduation recognition.
Group Project Requirement
Each participant is required to actively participate in and complete the class group project prior to graduation.
The class must develop a project proposal and submit it to Chamber staff for approval by the Leadership Steering Committee no later than mid-October 2026.
Limited class time may be provided for project planning; however, additional meetings and work outside of scheduled sessions will be part of the planning.
Application Deadline
Applications must be submitted by Friday, August 21, 2026.
