About Pastor Thomas Bessix's
Pastor Bessix formerly served as the Senior Pastor of New Gideon Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Man of Faith is a huge advocate of community service and higher education. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology & Rehabilitation Couseling from Southern University. Additionally, he is pursuing a Master of Art Christian Education at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is an active member of the Xi Nu Lambda Chamber of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

The Servant of Christ and his family joined Westside in May of this year. His helpmate and wife is the lovely Dr. Kimberly Davis Bessix. Together, they have one daughter named Madison.
