Registration for the luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. Our keynote speaker is Ashley Forbes Kellogg, and our sponsor is Bank of the West. Ashley will give a presentation on: A Practical Guide to Being Comfortable in Any Social Situation
The perfect guest knows they were not invited to eat………
When can I begin my meal? Whose glass is that? Locating your bread-and-butter plate. What is one the most telling clues of a person’s level of polish? For individuals who want to learn how to feel comfortable in any social situation. Develop the conversational skills to conduct introductions, offer toasts, and handle unforeseen mishaps, along with other important etiquette skills.
You will learn the effectiveness of having a polished image in one’s everyday life. Every day, business deals are lost due to ineffective communication. This presentation is designed for groups who want to polish their skills and improve their professional presence. Business etiquette is presented in a relaxed style but is direct in addressing today’s business issues.
Ashley Forbes Kellogg is on a mission: Helping companies return people – and thoughtful civility – to the center of every business encounter. Ashley speaks, conducts custom training sessions and manages meetings around the world, working to build corporate awareness that people really must come first. Her guiding principle? Treating all of a company’s critical stakeholders – from employees to colleagues to clients to partners – with respect and warmth is the key to prosperity. Ashley’s passion for the tenets of emotional intelligence is the thread that weaves together her entire career, from the classroom to the boardroom. A former schoolteacher, Ashley was tapped to train teachers at the national level. She then turned her efforts to the corporate world, drawing upon her background in education to become a business consultant to Fortune 500 companies. Her initial focus comprised change management, employee retention, leadership, personal and professional performance, and quality-of-life issues. She soon realized, however, that her commitment to championing greater emotional intelligence could have powerful implications for corporate meetings and entertainment, yielding deeper and more satisfying business relationships for her clients. She envisaged an event-management company that applied corporate “EQ” to the planning and execution of company events, and her global business, ForbesRobinson was soon born. A graduate of The Washington School of Protocol, Ashley serves regularly as an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University, teaching the skills that have helped her grow ForbesRobinson into one of the leading players in the meetings-and-event industry. Ashley is also a popular corporate speaker, employing her patented blend of dynamic presentation, skillful meeting facilitation and engaging storytelling to powerfully address the needs of every audience. Ashley makes her home in Dallas with her husband, David, and her 92-year-old mother-in law, Marion. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her husband’s three grown children and their second family, the Kellog cats Maddy, Timmy and Normy.
