Lewisville Lake Symphony will open its historic 30th season as one of North Texas’ premiere professional symphonies with a Sept. 20 performance featuring acclaimed Chinese double bassist Yang Heran at Medical Center of Lewisville Grand Theater.

Yang, winner of the first Lewisville Lake Symphony International Competition for Strings, beat out performers on more traditional solo instruments to claim the honor of soloist on the symphony’s first performance of the season. The international award winner performed most recently with the Singapore Symphony.
