DESCRIPTION:Central Elementary has opened a school-based community engagement center. The community center is a physical space at Central that provides resources for parents and community members\, such as ESL classes\, parenting classes\, technology classes\, mentoring\, storehouse of resources in the community\, early childhood intervention\, and other essential services for the Lewisville community.\n\n\n\nCentral's Family & Community Engagement Center ribbon cutting event will be a wonderful celebration of the unique and vital partnership schools\, families\, and communities have with one another. Food\, music\, games\, student performances\, community-partner information booths\, and tours of the Family & Community Engagement Center will be provided. All school staff\, families\, students\, and Lewisville community members are invited to come enjoy this momentous celebration\n\n\n\nCentral Elementary\n\nThursday\, April 4\, 2015 at 4:30-6pm\n\nRibbon cutting will begin at 4:30pm.\n\n\n\n*Ribbon Cutting Celebration will be held outside of the school in the parking lot on the corner of Fox and High School Drive. If inclement weather occurs\, event will moved to inside the school.\n\n \n\n4:00pm- Community-partner booths set up and open\n\n4:30pm- Ribbon Cutting Ceremony (in front of Family & Community Center entrance)\n\n -Speeches by Dr. Cynthia Jaird\, & other community leaders/parents\n\n-Cutting of ribbon & pictures\n\n5:00pm- Family & Community Celebration\n\n-Food\n\n-Music\n\n-Student Performances\n\n-Tours of Family & Community Engagement Center given & information brochure and schedule of services will be distributed\n\n6:00pm- Event concludes
