New Major Investors are also presented with their certificates.\n\n\n\nAbout Ron Simmons\n\nThe son of public school teachers\, Representative Ron Simmons was first elected to the Texas House in 2012 representing House District 65 in southern Denton County. Prior to entering public service he was one of the founders of the $2 billion wealth management firm\, Retirement Advisors of America\, and still serves as its Chairman today.\n\n\n\nSince entering the legislature Ron has been recognized by numerous groups for his common sense conservative leadership on key issues important to Texas. He was named MVP of his legislative freshman class in 2013 and was selected as the House Republican Caucus Policy Chairman in 2015.\n\n\n\nRepresentative Simmons serves as the Chairman of the Transportation Sub Committee on Long Term Planning as well as Vice Chairman of the Committee on Business and Industry.\n\n\n\nRon is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University and was named its distinguished alumni in 2012. He has been married to Lisa for 35 years and they have three adult children\, Justin (and wife Amy)\, Daniel and Allie Beth (and husband Timothy)\, and are proud grandparents of two grandsons\, Peter and James.
