DESCRIPTION:LISD Focus on the Future Starfish Caf  and Starfish Coffee Shop\n		\n	\n\n\n\n\n\nFOF is a Lewisville ISD Vocational and Community Based Transition Program for students with cognitive and intellectual disabilities who are 18 to 21 years of age. Individualized supports for a successful transition to adult life are provided in the areas of employment\, recreation/activities\, social relationships\, and independent living. Each young adult's daily schedule is based upon the IEP goals and objectives that have been developed after extensive coordination and collaboration with the student\, his/her parents/guardian\, teachers\, adult agencies\, and other stakeholders.\n\n\n\nThe goal of FOF is to provide a seamless transition to life after public school by providing multiple opportunities to learn and use the skills necessary to function as independently as possible. Based on individual interests and choices\, students will participate in community\, volunteer\, and vocational activities so that the last day of public school is identical to the first day of the rest of their lives.\n\n\n\nThe Starfish Caf  and Starfish Coffee Shop are two supported training programs that are student centered and student run.  Caf  provides patrons a dining experience with 4 menu choices\, a choice of beverages\, along with a dessert.  A donation of $7 is requested.  You will come the first time for the experience and return for the food. We offer a variety of Keurig coffees and teas\, fresh baked Otis Spunkmeyer Cookies\, and Otis Spunkmeyer muffins.  Prices vary from $1 to $5 for your selections.
