Valley Ridge.\n\n\n\nThe formal opening ceremony and dedication will be held at the start of the event\, shortly after 9 a.m. Vendors\, information booths and other activities will continue until 2 p.m.\n\n \n\nThe new shelter is located on 2.5 acres near the banks of the Trinity River\, across from the north entrance of Toyota of Lewisville Railroad Park and in easy walking distance from the Lewisville Dog Park. The building is roughly three times the size of the city's current animal shelter\, which was built in the early 1970s.
