The Direct Support Professional-I is\n\nresponsible for the routine and emergency care\, treatment\, and training\n\nfor specified individuals with developmental disabilities routine and\n\ncrisis situations. Responsibilities may include such duties as grooming\,\n\nbathing\, feeding\, observing and reporting client conditions and behaviors\;\n\ninteracting with clients therapeutically\, participating in individualized\n\ntraining and/or active treatment programs. The DSP-I is required to\n\naccurately document client behavior(s) throughout the daily schedule\,\n\nincluding response to home activities\, home training and unusual\n\nincidents. Completion of work requires use of simple and/or routine\n\nduties\, while decision making is based on simple and well-defined\n\nguidelines. This position is required to drive a state owned vehicle.
