DESCRIPTION:Christian Community Action (CCA) is pleased to present the annual Tom Duffy Memorial "Hopeful Hearts" 5K and Fun Run scheduled to take place Saturday\, November 2\, at Unity Park in Highland Village in conjunction with City of Highland Village Fall Festival Days. \n\n \n\nThe event will pay tribute to Tom Duffy\, CCA's founder\, who passed away in February of 2017.  In the early 1970s\, Tom and his wife Sara were part of a Bible study group discussion that inspired CCA. In 1973 starting with the restoration of a nearby widow's home\, the group soon took on a number of similar projects in the neighborhood.\n\n\n\nToday\, CCA helps more than 7\,000 individuals throughout North Texas by providing financial support for rent\, mortgage and utilities\; food assistance\; spiritual counseling\; life skill programs and seasonal programs that provide children with food for the summer\, new clothing when they go back to school and toys for Christmas
